J - Short Works
The story of a happily married man who travels on business a lot. Gradually, he becomes obsessed with the idea that his wife is having an affair, so he starts returning at unexpected times, but what he finds is not what he expects.
The natives have arisen and killed off many of the human colonists, and one of the survivors goes in search of a certain native village where there's a certain native girl...
The editor of Super Science Fiction renamed the story "The Seed of Earth", apparently without Silverberg's knowledge. Silverberg liked the title so much, he later used it himself for a novel unrelated to "Journey's End".
